South Florida Newspaper Diario Las Américas Features Fenix Medical

— Fenix Medical Primary Care Doctor Julian Arana and COO Eduardo Rubio Discuss Fenix’s Pandemic Response and Telemedicine Services in Diario Las Americas’ Special Health Edition —
Diario Las Americas, Miami’s original Spanish-language newspaper, interviewed Fenix Medical Primary Care Doctor Julian Arana and COO Eduardo Rubio last month as part of their special annual Healthcare Open Enrollment Supplement.
The article, titled “Quality and empathy, characteristics that define Fenix clinics,” provided Diario’s readers with an overview of Fenix Medical’s unique approach to healthcare. The article also provided insights into Fenix’s measures to assist and protect patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Below is an excerpt from the Oct. 31st article:
The Fenix difference consists in the personalized attention, the dedication of time to the patient, explains Dr. Arana.
“Other centers require their doctors to spend 15 to 20 minutes in the consultation, not more. This makes patient care much less effective, especially the geriatric, which is what we mainly see here.”
“We dedicate to the patient all the time that is necessary. We give them attention from the physical, social, medical and family point of view. This makes them feel comfortable. Sometimes it’s not only the medicine that one administers. It is that set of things. Although now you cannot give a kiss, a hug, a handshake, at least we try to convey that human affection. It’s that human affection that is so necessary to give to patients who are very isolated, in great need of that (affective) treatment,” he said.
